Annual General Meeting

The Ajax Pickering Ringette Association and its Board of Directors give Notice of the Annual Meeting of Members. In keeping with the laws and governance of the Province of Ontario, this meeting will be held IN PERSON on:

DATE: Tuesday June 9, 2026

TIME: 6:30 p.m. EST

LOCATION: HMS Room, Ajax Community Centre, 75 Centennial Rd., Ajax

ALL MEMBERS WELCOME

You do not need to register to attend the AGM, however, in advance of the meeting you have the opportunity to:

1) Ask questions in advance of the AGM;
2) Express your interest in volunteering to support the association; and
3) Nominate someone for a position on the APRA Board of Directors

Email your questions/feedback to the APRA President.

By attending the AGM you will:

1) Learn more about the organization and hear about our plans for next season;
2) Vote for open positions on the Board of Directors;
3) Vote on proposed amendments to the associations' by-laws; and
4) Be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $300 credit to be applied to 2026-27 Fall/Winter Registration Fees!!!

AGM Voting:

Eligible members 18+ (or parents/guardians of players under the age of 18) are able to vote at the AGM

Every voting Member may appoint a proxy holder to attend and vote on behalf of the Member. The proxy holder need not be a Member. A proxy must: a) Be signed by the Member (or, if the Member is younger than 18 years old, by the Member’s parent or guardian); b) Be in a form that complies with the Act; c) Comply with the format stipulated by the Corporation; and d) Be submitted to the Registered Office of the Corporation at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting of the Members.

Consider joining the APRA Board of Directors:

Now is your chance to share your voice, and your talents. This year, the following positions will be up for election at the AGM (1 and 2 year terms):

Vice President - Pickering
Treasurer
Secretary
Director-At-Large (5 positions for a 2 year term)

Nominations: You are able to nominate someone in advance of the AGM using the above form, and nominations will also be accepted from the floor during the meeting. Additionally, you also can express interest or submit a nomination by emailing the APRA President.

APRA cannot exist without committed VOLUNTEERS:
